I thought Id start this thread so we could talk about Turkeys in general. I am completey new to them and these will be my first. I have 3 in the bator and now Im starting to get excited as I have 11 days left. Of course I wind up starting with this amazing rare breed and now I feel a little more obligated to make sure everything runs smoothly. I got really lucky with these as a friend of mine raises them and just gave me the eggs! These will be the first out of hers. And from what I understand she is one of the very few breeders of these guys? Anywho, I just thought I would share. Maybe Ill post pics in a little bit.

Hope everything goes great. I got two male buff turkey's about a month ago. I have been looking for hens for them with no luck. They are a beautiful bird

I have a pair of Jersey Buff (which I understand is the short name for New Jersey buffs) and feel very blessed to have them as well....After the rains stop, I'll post a photo. I'm so excited about them as well.

Blessings on your hatch....I have only 2 eggs just put in the "bator" last night....Must wait - it's so hard!

Turkeys are so fun to hatch! If you haven't hatched before, be sure to have baby chicks at the same time to help them navigate to eat food and water.

Have a blessed day.

o yes theres 38 other eggs in there with them....like 10 are bantam and the rest are standard....i know it stinks! 21 days is hard enough, but 28!
