So I’ve had her for about 40 days. 27 of those days being in quarantine. After quarantine she began being brought out every morning and kept in the seperate run that’s attached to the other part so the flock can see her but not get to her. I’m just worried she hasn’t laid a single egg. She doesn’t seem eggbound. Maybe stress? Any thoughts as to what I can do to help poor banessa? I don’t want to fully start the intros until she lays. She is taking in oyster shells as well.

She was a rescue as her other 3 sisters were slaughtered by a racoon. She never had a nest box either and I’m honestly not sure about a roost bar but she definetly wants to roost. I uploaded a video to my drive of her. I think this is stress…?but I’d like opinions, she doesn’t seem egg bound as she’s moving normally. Before I hit record she was walking circles around the chicken ladder.

I couldn’t figure out how to put a video here so I’ve linked it to my drive.

Sorry if this is long winded lol wanted to include as much info as possible. Tonight’s our first warm stint of nights as well with it being in the mid 50’s so I was planning on letting her sleep outside in the run which I have full confidence is secure enough.

How old is this bird (guesstimate is fine)? Was she laying for previous owner?

Since you mentioned it, know that she wouldn't be eggbound for 40 days, she would've died early on if that was the case.
She’s two years old and yes she was laying for previous owners but they didn’t give her nest boxes so they just laid anywhere. Yea I was highly doubting egg bound as well especially for how long. To be fair her quarantine was in my garage which was only lit by window light and minimal lighting, but still she’s been outside now for almost two weeks and still no eggs. ☹️

I'm guessing it's stress being in new surroundings. Give her time.

Hmm then losing her flock + quarantine + the new environment could've been enough to throw her off. She hasn't molted once you've gotten her, has she?
