Non-poisonous climbing vines

I am putting the finishing touches on a large, covered, chicken run and would like to plant an ivy, of some sort, to help with shade. Does anyone know of a plant that the chickens won't eat and most importantly...one that won't poison them if they do eat it? The sides of the run are eight feet tall. The enclosure is made of 2" x 4" farm fencing.

My aunt had a gorgeous Virginia creeper on her run and coop for many years without incident. They're the one that turn a brilliant red in the fall. Not sure if they grow in your climate but they sure are pretty!

I have grapevines and they peck some at the lower leaves, eating some of them but mainly leaving them alone. They LOVE the grapes!!! Wonderful shade and beautiful.
