not sure how to proceed with her foot....?

A couple weeks ago we found our wyandotte hen limping, so we examined her foot and found the start of what seems to be bumblefoot. No swelling, but there was the characteristic dark spot on the bottom of the foot. We got super busy during the holiday season so all we could really do was monitor her and see if she gets any worse. But now, shes not limping anymore, and for the most part acts much better than before. Shes basically back to normal. But we checked her foot and the dark spot is still there. Do we still proceed to cut it out? Still no swelling, and it looks like a normal foot.

It doesn't seem like it needs to be removed yet, but posting a picture is always helpful. Birds are very good at masking pain and illness. Definitely take care of anything that might contribute to an injury (cushion hard surfaces, prevent jumping from high places, pad the roost, etc.). A proper diet is also important.
Do any of your others have dark spots or bruising on their footpads?

I will try to post a pic later when i can get her lol. The others seem to be fine, though I havent checked either. They are flightier than our wyandotte. We dont really have any high places they can jump from. For the most part they are just on the floor foraging. How long can bumblefoot fester before becoming a real issue?

It can be a very long time before they begin limping or swelling on the top of the foot. By that time, it's very advanced and painful. The sooner it's taken care of, the shorter their recovery generally is.
