Hello! This is my first time keeping chickens. Was sold this bird as a pullet amerecuana, recently realized she/he is probably an Easter egger but I have growing concerns he/she is a rooster. We are not allowed to keep roosters in our area. For reference he/she is very confrontational tho probably middle of the pecking order. To me the saddle and neck feathers are looking suspicious. Along with the tail. He/she should be around 11/12 weeks old. Any advice is welcomed!

Do you see how the wings have a solid red/brown patch? And spottier red/brown areas around it? That is male specific coloring. He's a dude. Only males have red wings.
This is so upsetting, it’s my husbands favorite chicken. I’ve been suspicious for a couple weeks. No crowing yet
Red wing feathers mean male.
Your barred rock is also likely male.
OH NO! I literally named that chicken ladybird 😂. I guess he’s manbird now. What’s indicating for you with the barred rock? I may try to get a better photo

Crowing doesn't indicate the sex of the bird.
The double barring on the barred rock makes me think male, in barred rock, the males have brighter, more prominent stripes

Some better photos of lady/manbird. The tail looks suspicious to
Me now that you’ve pointed it out.
