Thanks for the good advice! Can I ask why you wet their food?

Ducks are dabblers and as such ingest a lot of water as they eat. Ever notice them grabbing a mouthful of pellets and running to the water to 'wash it down'? I find that by making a mash with their food they don't do this as much and don't waste as much. I feel it's more natural for them to have moist food.

That makes sense, and yes, I definitely noticed that! It would be hard for me to wet their food as I have a big trash can converted into a self-distributor and wet food during winter would freeze, I think.

Yeah, that would make it more difficult!

I prepare their food in advance and keep it inside to prevent freezing.
