I gave my (otherwise healthy, 5yo) chicken some grains, and one/some ended up in her airway.
She tried sneezing to get it out, but this did not work. It was already to far down for me to see, so I cannot remove it.

She has clearly some difficulty breathing, but is not choking. And of course this always happens shortly before the weekend, and the only (non-poultry) vet I could get in contact with, said that there was nothing we could do.

I have given her some metacam, to aid with any infection. Anything else I can do? What can I expect?

This particular issue is not uncommon and it usually resolves on its own in about 24 hours. Try to be patient and not worry. It may sound like she is struggling to breathe, but unless her comb is turning dark, it's just stridor from the foreign matter in her airway. Sneezing and coughing are healthy responses, not something to be worried about.

But unless her comb turns dark and she's losing ability to walk, this is not an emergency.

Hi. For a couple days now rooster has been going through the same thing. Only a little different order. No walking for two days but yesterday was eating and drinking if in front of him but now today the struggling thing to breathe it appears as though anyways. He's still not walking but lifts head and opens beak very slowly repeatedly. Occasionally head falls forward and milky white liquid comes back out . Usually after hand feeding him water. A bit of a gurgling sound and with stethoscope, no breathing sounds fully just weeIng sort of and heart beat. I know something is seriously wrong with him but we are not near a vet and I'm wondering if we should put him down or not
