Hi everyone! so this is our first full summer having chickens, usually ever summer we use the off Mosquito spray in our yard, however this year we're not sure if it's ok to use with our chickens ( we let them free range every night and once I am done with school in a few weeks I will be home every day and they will be free range more often!), I looked on the OFF website and there were two different posts one said not safe around chickens the other one said it was ok as long as we waited 24 hours.I have read the chickens will help with the mosquitto problem however we have a huge yard AND I get bites and break out horribly from them so we need to spray so I can actually enjoy our yard!
Any advice ?
Oh BTW if we do spray should we make sure chickens are in the coop and not their run when we spray ???

I would find out exactly what chemical you plan to use and what the livestock restrictions on it are.
Chickens, any birds, are terribly sensitive to respiratory irritants/toxins......ever heard the term 'canary in a coal mine'?.
Might be better just to spray yourself instead of where your chickens roam and eat.
