This also contradicts the 'How many nest boxes do I need for 9 hens?' common suggestions....

Automatic! I don't let hens hatch anymore. Our place has evolved into production, thus incubators. I forget too much these days, so best to have automation for me.

Plus, I've got a thing about opening the incubator as few times as possible. I only candle them twice; Day 7, and then right before moving to lockdown.

Auto turning for me whenever possible! I forget far too often and hate opening the incubators a whole lot. I am doing emu eggs right now though, so having to hand turn, for at least 40 days straight, I made a chart to check off each time so I don’t forget!

I have 8 nest boxes for 4 girls that goes broody too often

I've been manual till now, using charts to know it's been done and when, so hoping this time to have a broody girl hatch them ... if any of the girls show interest.
