Old but new

Hi y'all, I've been a member for 4 years but never introduced myself. I have six hens. 2 EE, 2 brahma( 4yrs) and 2 buff orpington's ( 2yrs). I also have 2 golden retrievers. Coop is a converted homemade multi purpose building- it has been a dog house/ firewood house/ play house and now an excellent coop. Love my chickens each one has a different personality! Must admit egg production has slowed with age but can't get rid of them as they are pets. They follow me where ever I go. That's all for now. I do enjoy reading and learning from everyone on BYC.

Welcome then glad you did the intro how are your golden with the chickens my black Lab Moose is retriever all they way still at 6 maybe 4 or 5 years from now he will stop trying to bring them to me.. We do have a 17 year old german shepard that is gentle as can be and watches out for them

The golden's leave them alone at all times. Not much interaction between them though. They hang out on the porch and just watch the chickens run around.

I have to keep a fence between the chicken yard about 1/3 of our 3/4 acre
dogs have the rest of the property to roam
