I've read in several places that old English game bantams lay white eggs. My LF lay all color eggs but none white. My OEGB have just started laying and I'm getting beautiful tiny eggs of what I would call light cream or pale rose (beautiful tints of off white), but none the color of white found in grocery store eggs. Not that I mind, I think mine are much prettier, but comments, please on the color of your OEGB eggs.

My OEGB has off-white eggs too! They're more white than they are cream, at least compared to my other bantams, but they aren't as pure-white as my leghorns eggs.

Sounds like my colors are similar to yours. My mille d'fleur d'uccle is the same age and isn't laying yet so will be interesting to see what I get there, I have a feeling a darker cream or light tan egg?

Can you guys post the size of your OEGB eggs??

The blue is an EE egg and is equivalent to a large grocery sore egg. It is flanked by two OEGB eggs. Mine aren't pure white either (leghorn egg white). They're either peach or cream or very pale rose tinted. Very lovely little eggs.

I'm trying to decide if my OEGB is laying. Only problem is our neighbors leghorn pullets go in our coop (as they all free range) and lay white eggs. The one with the quarter on it is what I think to be my OEGB the middle white is a the neighbor leghorn and brown is my mutt pullets :) what do you think?

Could be. Is your OEGB's comb red? (a hint that she is laying) Leghorn eggs should be while. Is the smaller egg white or an off white, a cream, very pale peach or rose, another clue that it is your OEGB. But the middle egg is definitely fatter.

That's exactly what has me thinking its Thelma's (my OEGB) because it's slightly off white. Definitely not pure white like the leghorns. And yes it is red.
