Olive egger, wyandotte, mystery chick, polish

Hey all!

So I have 8 chickens. Some of which im not sure of the breed. The first 3 I got on 05/03 from a local feed store so I’m not sure of the sex and honestly their breed lol. The feed store had them listed as olive eggers, but I have yet to find an olive egger that looks like them.

The my second batch was hatched 05/20 I got them all a pullets from a hatchery, but these are my first chickens so I’m not sure how reliable hatchery sexing is. The hat hatchery also sent me an extra chick and I don’t know what it is. I’ll list them all below with their pics.


Can you all help with sex and possibly breed? First 3 are approximately 8-9 weeks old. The others are 5weeks old.


1. Oliver egger? unknown sex?
2. Olive egger? unknown sex?
3. White crested Polish - pullet?
4. Golden laced wyandotte - pullet?
5. Mystery chick? Unknown sex?
6. Barred rock - pullet
7. Golden laced polish - unknown sex
8. Splash ameraucana - pullet

On your olive eggers, the cuckoo pattern is likely coming from a cuckoo Marans cross. That's a lot of red for 8 to 9 weeks but I'd wait to say what they might be.

Agree on #3, so far agree on #4 (wyandottes do pink up early)

#5, maybe an olive egger? I'm not sure here, what hatchery is it from?

7, I'm leaning cockerel with that hairdo but it's not 100%

8, it looks more blue than splash, was it listed as Ameraucana or Americana? I vs au?

So number 4-8 are from Meyers Hatchery. #5 was my meal maker chick. #8 was listed as a splash ameraucana.

I am new to this, so take my words with a grain of salt. But I feel like #5 has a bigger comb than the rest. Maybe a cockerel?
