I have an olive egger, who looks exactly like a cream legbar also. You’d never know she wasn’t! Yours are beautiful!

Beautiful eggs!
Thank you! There's some variation in the coloring of cream legbars, so I agree with your husband that these don't quite look like the color cream legbars are supposed to be but I also agree with you that they do look like a lot of the legbars that are out there. I got a cream legbar and an olive egger last spring and at a glance they looked nearly identical. Looking at the egg picture I would say you have legbar/welsummer olive eggers that look very like cream legbars.
This is about all I know as well. My forte' is with silkies, and just picking up egg colors for other folks.I believe CL lay a beautiful blue egg. If yours are laying green, they are OE.
I think @Debbie292d would know for sure.
The color patterns of dark brown leghorns , welsummers and legbar chicks closely resemble one another but they all lay a different color egg. The Welsummer is the only one that can lay a speckled eggBeautiful eggs!
Cream Legbars do lay green eggs sometimes but it is usually a minty green. These eggs look more like olive to me.
You may have olive eggers that are made from Welsummer x Cream Legbar.
Either way..hens and eggs are gorgeous! Enjoy!
Thanks to one of our members(R2elk) we know what a brown leghorn and legbar cross looks like.I haven't raised any legbar and welsummer or brown leghorn crosses but have all 3 breedsHere’s my fake cream legbar![]()
Legbars can lay blue or green eggs but they don't lay speckled eggs. This points to yours being welsummer and legbar cross olive eggers. Not all welsummers lay speckled eggs but they lay eggs dark enough to be crossed to make olive eggers. Some of the chicks from this cross resemble legbars more than welsummers which is what yours appear to be.Your girls are beautiful and lay beautiful eggs!
