Omlet Auto door - turkey and peafowl?

Hi All,

We have an omlet Auto door which we love - great not having to get up or put away the chickens,guineas and ducks safely each morning and night.

Has anyone used the omlet Auto door with turkeys and peafowl? We are thinking about getting some bourbon red turkeys. From what I can see online I think the turkey hens *should* be able to use it and as well as the peahens but not sure about the Tom's and peacocks.

Anyone got any experiences good or bad?

no experience but I have a friend with a Tom and I am not sure he would fit through my omelet door. he's one big boy! (and very handsome)

I'm new to my 6 week old Sweetgrass poults, but is that really big enough for a full grown tom?

Another Pullet-Shut owner here (*love it*). My peafowl use the standard (not the big turkey one) just fine. The problem I'm having is that they don't go in at night. On the advice of the Nopec (makers of Pullet-Shut) guys, I even set the timer for one full hour after dark.

Maybe it's too dark inside the door? I'm thinking of hanging a light in there so the peafowl will be going from darkness into a lighted space. Advice?
