I currently use an adapted Rubbermaid shed for my coop, and mostly I love it. My favorite thing about a plastic coop is the ability to simply hose the whole thing down every week or two with very little trouble, leaving me with a very clean coop. It would be hard for me to go back to a wooden coop where I'd have trouble getting it truly clean. I am now really pining away to splurge on the Omlet Eglu. I love the rinse it clean factor, and I like the modular run options. I also love the idea that it can be easily moved around the garden., but DANG they are expensive!!! And I have ten chickens, so I think I might actually need an Eglu + the Go to accommodate all 10 chooks. Have any of you taken the plunge and splurged for the Eglu? Any regrets? Would you spend the money again? All input welcome!

My husband built my coop before I knew about the eglu. I often pine for the eglu cube. I think they are worth the money. Hose off coop would be a dream.

I've heard the doors aren't raccoon proof, that you have to buy something additional to keep raccoons out?
