A couple years ago we bought a handful of Ameracaunas from tractor supply, only one of the chicks was extra fluffy extra silly, yellow and grey and turned out to be a splash(predominently white) Shes still extra big and fluffy, and usually lays big sage green eggs with bright blue insides, however a few mornings ago I witnessed her lay a pink egg 🤯
I thought each chicken had its own unique egg laying color almost like their signature, and I've even witnessed slight variations from egg to egg per hen, (speckles, calcium deposits, shapes) from time to time, but from sage green to pink?!

Anyone else experience this?

that's actually a baby her in my chicken apron in our profile photo!!!

I wonder if she had a very thick bloom, which can alter the color. I know this post is older but if you took any photos I’d be interested in seeing her normal egg color and the pink one!
