Ornamental Indian corn?

I have 1/4 pound of Autumn Explosion Indian corn seed from Jung. I was wondering if chickens could eat this? I don't really have a use for it except setting out a few ears to decorate in the fall. I'm curious if I could give it to my laying hens as a treat every once in a while.

If the seed hasn't been treated, then you can. Do you plan on growing the corn for decoration? Why not plant as much as you can? I planted about a twenty foot row last year, saved the ears and every couple of days threw in an ear for the chickens to play with. Working on how much room I have for it this year.

I have limited space in my garden, but now that I look at the package- it hasn't been treated. I'll have to fit it in somewhere....
