My 1 year old Lohman Brown has not laid for at least 3 weeks now. She showed signs of lethargy a few weeks back but has perked up since, very slight blueing of comb and a very swollen underbelly. I first realised something was wrong when she had very clear watery droppings, i hardly see her poop now. She is eating & drinking as normal & acting normal with the flock.

Tried multiple warm baths with epsom salts & calcium supplement in her water.

I can definitely feel an egg size lump on her left hand side of the body…ive tried massaging it but nothing has worked. Im now thinking if it is an impacted gizzard but the location may be off, or could it be an oviduct tumour the size of a golf ball? I think id of noticed this growing as i do a health check weekly on the hens.

I’ve read lots of posts trying to diagnose this issue but no one mentions the location of the egg. Anyone experienced in this? TIA

I don't have experience with oviduct impaction.

But if only liquids are coming out of her I'd do a molasses flush just in case it's a digestive impaction.

I don't think you have anything to lose by trying.

It's 1 tsp molasses in 1/4 cup of water. If she won't drink it you can syringe it in. Or I have given the straight molasses by dropper or soaked in a piece of bread and then let them drink their own water.

Can you get a picture of the swollen belly? It could be waterbelly/ascites.
Hard to tell…she looks healthy here. Ive tried to take a photo of her sister who is same breed & age (the healthy hen has a H in the photo).
