Anyone know anything about the painted varieties on porters website? Didn’t find much about them anywhere so was curious if anyone here knew anything about them.

I kind of figured that was the case, thanks for the reply anyways. I ordered some because they look like very pretty birds, and they arrived earlier this week so it sparked some curiosity about them.Sorry. They appear to be a new addition to his website. It is listed as a recessive gene. The Nebraskans may have had something else going on. They haven’t added it to the new website yet, but there was a picture of a juvenile paint and it was white with black speckling on the edge of the wing feathers.
After a little more digging, it seems like they might originate in Australia from this place. Or at the very least, that’s the only other place online that references painted turkeys.All of those appear to be black based and are showing the face mask associated with the black color gene.
