My 4 yr old peacock started wheezing when he is moving around a few weeks ago. I also had a duck that sounded congested. I treated everyone with Tylan for 5 days 2x. Duck is better peacock is not.
Does anyone know if you can use
Sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim SUSPENSION 400mg/ml in peafowl?
Can you put it in water?
Does anyone know the dose. I know it needs to be used w caution as it can cause crystals and worsen kidney issues (I do not think he has kidney problems)
Thanks in advance!
He’s eating drinking and acting fine. Just wheezy. This is Steve. ❤️

He is gorgeous 😍. I don't know what would be wrong with him cause I'm only a beginner but could something be caught in his throat? Is there mucus around the nose/mouth?

I agree, the OP should look for mucus and or a cream colored lesions in the mouth. Having no swelling of the sinuses but still having the raspy breathing could be an early sign of MG. Have a vet take a swab of the airway and send to the state lab test would be my first action.
