Our introduction is found here.

Finally got around to taking some pictures, and these are not the best pictures, I got outside late today because of service and then chores I had to get done before it got too late in the day. With that being said, most of the hens (8 out of the 11) ran up to me, and the one rooster, Rusty. We have had to separate our two roosters because they started fighting for dominion over the hens. I will be posting in another forum trying to re-home one of our Rhode Island Red Roosters, Rusty, as we will not be able to keep two now with the small flock we have. Yes, we will have 24 hens next spring, but I do not want these roosters to keep fighting. My son loves the Rhode Island Red Rooster we call Buddy or Richard, whichever, so Rusty has to go. It is sad, and they both are great roosters to protect hens, and Rusty has the better personality for kids and letting you pick him up, but as I said my son loves Buddy too much to let him go.

With 24 hens.... Split them up into 2 separate flocks if you have the means and space. 🙂
We would, but we don't get the new chicks until mid-February... And trying to keep them separated that long and even longer since it will be some time after before we can have the chicks with the older hens, etc. We would rather find a home for one. Besides we have our Anatolian Shepherd Pyrenees to keep critters away now.
