The back side of my chicken run is against a fence and I can't get between the two, too put a fence skirt down to keep varmits out.
My idea is, from the inside of the run, I will push the pigeon spikes under/through the bottom of the hardware cloth and into the ground.
All spikes would be in the ground with some sticking above the ground but not inside the run.
Has anyone used these?
Think this will or will not work?
All advice or other ideas welcomed.
(Because of my tortoises and the location of the sewer line, I couldn't place the coop/run further away from the original fence)

How did this work out?
Well, except for the mice, I haven't had anything get in. I just had a large fox last week twice and nothing happened. Also have had opossum.
I can't say for sure they work though. Only because I'm not sure if anything could fit between the run and fence and get in a position to even try digging.

Stop feeding the mice and they will leave. It is that simple. You aren't going to fence them out, not going to poison them all, not going to trap them all. Stop feeding them, they get hungry, they leave. Kind of like teenagers that turn into college kids.

Well i

Well im not stupid! I'm not trying to feed them. I have tortoises with a heated shed and food available that I can't stop the mice from getting into either or the tortoises wouldnt be able too eat and would freeze if I didnt heat it. The chickens food is no spill and hung where the mice can't get it. The no spill is not 100%. The mice also like to steal the hay and wood chips.
Btw, the spikes were for the wild animals more then the mice.
Not knowing the whole situation, your pretty rude! Geez!

How rude!

You are feeding the rodents with the hanging feeder and spillage. Practice basic sanitation and feed security and the rodents will leave.

No one called you stupid BTW.
