Pink breath of heaven shrubs

Hello all, I can't seem to find much about the shrub "pink breath of heaven". Lowe's has them right now and look like nice size bushes. They don't have much else right now. I need some plants for the run that aren't poisonous and will survive my chickens. Has anyone had any experience with these? Or maybe something else? My chickens destroy anything in their run accept trees because they can't get to them :/

The biggest problems growing things in a chicken run is soil compaction and high phosphorus in the soil.

Try this for ideas. But keep in mind that all these will benefit greatly by restricting access from the birds intil thdy are established and container plants often perform better than in the ground plantings.
