Plants, herbs or flowers that ducks love

After reading Herbs, Flowers, and Weeds for Chickens, I wondered if the listed suggestions are applicable to duck as well? I'd love to plant things around their yard to beautify it and feed them!

I rarely see my ducks eat vegetation, mostly mud, worms, bugs, frog, etc.

Since our lawn is far from perfect and has bare spots with plenty of different weeds growing. I bought a big bag of bird seed and broadcast it all over and our birds love the lush green vegetation.

I buy greens when marked down and my ducks love them but I rarely see them eating plant life in general.

My ducks love baby cabbage and cauliflower Plants. As do they hot pepper plants. They seem to like Salvia a lot too. They pick a little from it, they don’t destroy the whole plant. But rest underneath or next to it for hours everyday.

if they see a petunia flower it’s gone too. my ducks always search for a spot with higher vegetation to rest. (like underneath a rose bush. Or in a flowerbed..)

But your ducks might be different! Since mine do not like peas at all. Which is favorite duck food According to the internet.

Mine aren’t pea crazy either. Which is a good thing since they are scarce in the grocery store right now and have been since the Covid came to the USA.

Mine LOOOVE peas! I bet I could go through a commercial-sized bag a day if I let them! They love watermelon too!

Last evening we did the watermelon treat thing for the first time and what a HOOT. Little kids in a candy store for the very first time, to cute to watch.
