PLEASE HELP…..Feather Loss = Disease!?!

Hi!

In Fall 2020, one of my hens molted early, in November/December 2020 two of other my hens began to molt, one of the two had a hard molt.

When winter ended, my hen that hard molted fully grew her feathers back, but my other hen didn’t. Two more of my hens have this odd feather loss that doesn’t grow back, even though it is now summer!

I have sprayed them with Manna Pro Mite/Lice/Parasite spray for a whole month on and off (even though I do not see any mites/lice on them), I have used diatomaceous earth on them (cautiously though), and I also have dewormed them with HomeoVet Poultry Dewormer a few weeks ago (since I saw worms in their feces.

I give them poultry/layer vitamins in their water when egg quality falls, 24/7 access to oyster shell/grit/16% feed, and they free range.

I don’t believe they are sick, since they lay well and do not act ill at all.

Previously I was told that it May take up to a year for new feathers to grow back

P.S.
I know some of my hens has some feces/dirt on their bums, I saw and have been cleaning them.

I have chickens like this too. Missing beard, a few missing neck feathers, and a huge bald spot on their back. I gave them dewormer, bug spray, and DE and they all act normally so I don’t think much of it. They’ve had this since around December 2020.

Have you had any answer as to what it is?

I am glad I am not the only keeper who has this issue!

I see broken feathers. They are plucking one another.

You can try increasing protein to see if that helps, but broken feathers will not be replaced until the bird molts.
