This is my first flock and I just found fly eggs on the feathers around my pullets vent - I washed the poop away and got the majority of the eggs but they are so small I just know I didn't get them all. **There is no wound - her poop has been clinging to her feathers although I've been bathing her the fine feathers (very short about 2 mm long at best) near her vent are impossible to clean even with soaking it is like cement. What can I do to prevent any hatching and any more laying???? Please note there are NO maggots - yet - just the eggs

Are you sure it isn't lice? I use diatomaceous earth in my chickens dust bath for that, there are other options too im not sure what they are look for chicken lice on the forum search?

They aren't moving and I looked up images of fly eggs and it looks the same. Have you ever saw bread makers yeast - tiny granules like super tiny rice?? That is what it looks like plus there were flies on her

I would just do what you did and get as many as possible, and wait.
Keep her separated if possible and check as often as possible to see if any that you missed hatch. When they hatch you can remove the maggots before they damage her skin.

Also, some of them may be mite eggs, they are on the base of feathers, often under the vent, and are very hard to remove.

I've had luck getting rid of them by trimming the worst of the feathers, spraying them with lice and mite spray, and treating the bodies with Sevin dust, as well as the nest boxes and coop.

I put some bag balm to try and soften area around her vent and on the surrounding feathers to maybe smother anything and dryer the flies - I hate leaving her a sticky mess but I'm terrified of her getting flu strike

Those do look like fly eggs. Just try to get as many as possible off, and make sure if any do hatch to get them off as soon as possible. Water and tweezers are effective.
