Hello,

I have 3 (3-4 week) old ducklings and just curious if anyone is able to identify what breed they are! Thank you!

The one on the left is a Saxony. The one in the middle I believe it is a Rouen, but I am not the best at identifying them. The last one can't tell with the lighting, but I would guess a Welsh, maybe a silver swedish.

Can you get pictures without the heat lamp?
Hey! Here are some more pics of when I took them outside for a bit earlier. Their coop isn’t finished yet but I like to get them out for 30 min or so to have time out of the brooder. I’m currently treating the little yellow one with vitamin b complex orally for niacin deficiency.

Thank you! I posted some better pics below!

I am completely stumped by that last one. It is going to need to feather out more. Maybe a golden 300. Those legs are too pale for a Welsh harlequin.

The brown with the white markings on the face is definitely a Saxony. The much darker brown duck is most likely a Rouen.

They are adorable!

Thank you! The saxony is huge compared to the others and I bought them all at the same age and size when a few days old! The other yellow one is so little. I’m thinking the niacin deficiency stunted the growth I didn’t realize the deficiency until one day when he was barely walking. I’ve been giving vitamin b complex orally and it has done wonders just giving it the last 5 days! I hope his little legs straighten back out. The other two seem to be getting enough niacin with the brewers yeast and foods I give them. But for some reason the one duck didn’t get enough.

Saxony are the second largest duck breed. So they can get to be big. My largest one is just under 8lbs.

That is great that the vitamin b complex is helping the little one out. I wouldn't worry too much about the size as long as they seem overall healthy. I had a tiny runner duckling that took forever to take off and eventually became my biggest runner. Another one of my ducklings I rescued from someone who was essentially starving her due to ignorance. She is now a bit small for her breed and has a stunted beak. But she is a firecracker and full of spunk.
