Please help! Is it normal for her neck to be so thin?

It doesn’t show well in the photo, but I can grasp her neck with just one hand. She’s fat everywhere elsewhere (healthy), but her neck is the only thin part.
She was sick heavily until two weeks ago and she’s gained weight again everywhere, but her neck. What should I do?

I believe your chicken's neck is normal, although you don't specify the size. If you feel an average chicken neck, it's not much more than an inch in diameter. It only looks fat when heavily feathered.

If your chicken is molting, the absence of feathers can be very misleading, although alarming.

The place to check for proper weight is the breast area along the keel bone. If that bone is sharp and sticking out without much meat on each side of it, then she is underweight.

Really? Thank you so much. It’s a lot more reassuring to hear it from someone. Luckily, she has a lot of fat everywhere else, her neck is the only place I’m worried about. She might be a bit overweight rather than underweight, thankfully.
