Oh shoot. I was nervous about the. He jumped up on his ownUndeniably so. Please don't let them ride on your shoulders,(especially cockerels) your eyes are there and if a chicken wanted a ride without you being ready, you could end up with an eyepatch.
If you need to rehome, there's probably a local thread you can post in to advertise him! It's a little difficult but not impossible to find folks looking for your breed.Oh noooooo. Thank you
Good idea. Thank you! Such a pretty guyIf you need to rehome, there's probably a local thread you can post in to advertise him! It's a little difficult but not impossible to find folks looking for your breed.he's a pretty boy already, which helps!

Omg hahaha that’s funny. He jumped right up there. Guess he was trying to show me who is boss. He is so friendly I’m so sad now I can’t keep him. Wonder if that would eventually change though
Yes, chickens peck at shiny things and that can include eyes.
Also, I learned with cockatiels that the dominant bird sits highest so if the bird on your shoulder has its eyes higher than your eyes it thinks it's in charge.
