Hi I have 2 Cayuga eggs that have pipped at the wrong end of the egg and it’s been 2 days since they pipped, they have been moving and chirping do I intervene and help them out or do I wait a little longer?
Any advice is really appreciated!

There are a few videos on YouTube that show you how to help a hatching baby, it's about the same for chicks as ducklings. They might need their shells removed. DO NOT hurt the MEMBRANE because it is still attached to their blood vessels and they will bleed out. You will probably also have to take a warm wet paper towel to re-wet the membrane for them too. Be very careful not to get any water it in their nose/mouth.

Does the chirping sound calm or distressed?

Since they pipped at the wrong end, their external pip is essentially their internal pip. It takes about 3 days to hatch after the internal pip, so most likely, it’ll be another day or so before they’re ready to hatch.

I would either leave them, or at most open the shell up enough to see their bill. It’s too early for a full assist.

It’s very faint
