So I can get an idea what they truly look like as a chick and full grown!

Most of my Silkie chicks were hatched yesterday and the rest of them are Black Mottled, Spilt to Lavender, Lavender, and Showgirl Silkie chicks so far.

They are very CUTE and STUNNING! This will be my first time by owning/raising the Lavender/Self Blue and Mottled Silkies. I am so thrilled about a Showgirl (I never had a chance by owning a Showgirl before. I wasn’t a fan of them at first, but they eventually grew on me! ;)

I plan to work on my Blue, Self Blue, Black, White, Mottled, Splash, and Paint projects. I realize that Self Blue, White, Mottled, Blue, Splash, and Paint are probably my top favorite colors so far. Porcelain/Blue Cream and Buff both are pretty nice! Gotta catch ā€˜em all! ;)

ps. I will definitely share their upcoming photoshoots with you all probably tomorrow or Sunday! <3

Sounds pretty. I know some breed those. We're doing silkie buffs, cuckoos, paints, chocolate, and splash mostly, but staying away from types that take too much work and upkeep breeding. :) Good luck!

I'd love to see pictures of yours!

I have 3 lavender silkie chicks growing out now, and 3 lavender 1/2 silkie chicks growing out. Would love to see pics of your babies! You are working on some of my favorite colors and I adore showgirl silkies! I am working on lavender, black and paint mostly but I am also working on silkies that lay a colored egg. These are such fun projects.

By the way it took me $$$$$$$ and tons of heartbreak before getting these chicks. I had 4-5 batches of lavender eggs shipped to me and not a single one hatched. Then finally got a batch and had one lavender chick hatch out. She was the most beautiful pullet and then was killed by the neighbors pet. I cried for weeks. Finally I hatched some shipped eggs from two different breeders around Christmas time. Only had 3 lavender silkies hatched but I am super grateful. They are so hard to obtain, so you’re already doing great! I can’t wait until my grow out babies are old enough to breed. The world needs more lavender silkies!!! šŸ’œ

The photos are of my grow outs - they are about 8 weeks old. The 3 satin feathered chicks (including the frizzle) are the crosses, and the 3 silkied are purebred.
