Hi there guys. This is a kind of strange thread... I have a gosling and it stays in the house at night... We have pee-pads on the floor and of course he finds the spots where ya might leave a crack by accident, well an accident certainly happened and now I can't get the stains out of the carpet! I only have two because I didn't get to them in time, what do I do?? Any tips or am I doomed with buying a new carpet😭

I would first scoop up the dry parts. Than use citric acid to try to remove more. And after that green soap /gold soap to clean it after. The last one is a full natural soft soap which is used for decades around here. Don’t know about the availability in the USA.

but if you leave it for to long it has possibly already damaged the colour and than you should cover it somehow.

my first priority with bird poop is preventing this from happening.
I hope my advise will work!

To remove stains first wet it with hydrogen peroxide and scrub till the extra residue is gone. Then wet again with more hydrogen peroxide. Add a generous amount of baking soda on top and let it sit for a few minutes. Then pour vinegar on top. Once it stops bubbling the carpet should be clean and if not vacuum and repeat the process with a little more scrubbing. I always did this with my naughty rooster. As far as preventing this I would say train them to not do it by not feeding them near carpet if possible so they learn not to be messy there. Hope this helped.
