Hello, we have a 9 month Olive egger that as of yesterday was showing symptoms of egg bound, she was limping on one side while penguin huddling and her vent is pulsating, we soaked her in warm Epsom salt twice and oiled up her vent, I tried massaging her and feeling for anything but I couldn't.

As of this morning she is still eating and drinking and alert but she can't walk/move on her own, soaked her again for over 20 mins, still can't feel one in the chamber, she also has some white oozing out of her vent and it's pulsating like a heartbeat, she's not pooping either

I'm sorry to hear about your Olive Egger. It sounds like she's in distress. Here are some steps you can take:

  1. Veterinary Attention: Given her symptoms, it’s crucial to consult a veterinarian, preferably one experienced with poultry. Egg binding can lead to serious complications.
  2. Keep Her Comfortable: Ensure she is in a warm, quiet space. Stress can exacerbate her condition.
  3. Hydration: Continue to ensure she has access to fresh water. You can also try offering her some electrolyte solution designed for birds.
  4. Monitor Symptoms: Keep an eye on her condition. Note any changes in her breathing, appetite, or if she starts to lay eggs.
  5. Avoid Further Home Remedies: While soaking her in warm Epsom salt is a common practice, avoid excessive handling or further home treatments without veterinary guidance, as this could cause more stress or harm.
Please prioritize getting her to a vet as soon as possible for a proper diagnosis and treatment.
