Possible Red Shouldered Yokohama Mix???

I was chatting with someone who has been raising Yokohama Chickens for
quite some time. She mentioned our Gonzo looked like a Red Shouldered Yokohama Mix.

What do you think?

I would say that is very likely. The coloration is certainly correct (particularly if she were crossed with a white breed). A cross would explain the shorter tail as well.

That's possible as well. Very similar coloration. The one thing that seems certain is that the hen is a mixed breed.

Aracauna X Rhode Island Red = Gonzo

so we're now very anxious to see what color eggs she'll lay she's almost 22 weeks old.

what can we breed her with to get attractive coloration in the chicks.
We have Bilbo the AmeraucanaXSeabrightXBrahma mix

Marty the Easter Egger

NightWing the Easter Egger (Wyandotte mixed)

and probably a Lav / Blue / or Splash orphington...rooster

Given the fact that all of these birds involved are hybrids, there is really just know way to know what their offspring will look like. You can only wait and see. Good luck in getting some real beauties.

I think we're getting an aracauna roo from the farm she was laid.
I'd really like to try and preserve the wheatenish colorations, she is a beauty.
