Potatoes 🤷‍♀️

I read somewhere once that chickens are not supposed to eat potatoes or avocados because there is something in their skin that’s not good for them. Is this true? Do people ever give their chickens left over potatoes or French fries and what has been the outcome?

They can have potatoes, the plant is a member of the nightshade but the tubers are fine for man and beast.
Avocados do have toxins in their peels and pit but most animals won't eat the peels anyway.

Don't give sprouted potatoes, it's the plant that is toxic
