I scooped it with a shovel and tossed in the woods, reading up now maybe it should’ve gone further away. At least I didn’t touch it with my hands!

Hopefully it won’t be back but I’m prepared to take the feeders in if that happens. I have metal baffles but I’m sure they’re smart enough to figure it out if desperate.

I found something similar on the retaining wall outside the fence and again on top of the roof of my chicken coop. Just now I found the upper corner of the chicken run has a round role, big enough for a cat to get in and out, after my husband shouted at "a cat" eating our chicken feed... I seriously suspect it is a raccoon. But it is at noon with mid-day sun out there and the chickens are so far so good... fingers crossed! Has anyone experienced same?
