Previous clear eggs now blood smeared

Could an overly amorous rooster cause this issue?
No, chicken mating doesn't involve penetration that could damage to the vent.

Also, she is on the bottom of the pecking order…….if she’s over stressed, could that cause bloody eggshells?
Have you inspected her vent area to look for any wounds?
(I apologize if this has been covered in previous posts)
 
What might you suppose caused it to clear up? I really want to continue with it to prevent recurrences.
Blood on the outside of eggs is a fairly normal 'glitch' for new layers, or old ones. It's not something that can be prevented.
