probiotics and electrolytes together ?

new chicks coming this week
are probiotics and electrolytes in the same water safe ?
also do i need get grit for pine shavings

Probiotics and electrolytes together should be fine, any mix ins should be mixed according to package directions. Electrolytes are not meant for long term usage so assuming the chicks are all thriving, I would discontinue use of it after the first 48 hours or so.

I would provide grit, it's cheap and easy insurance in case any chicks ingest anything that's larger or harder to digest.
