I am not sure if she’s the prolapse, is constipated, or an egg bound, can anybody help with some advice here, please? Ithe prolapse, is constipated, or an egg bound, can anybody help with some advice here, please? I’ve given her 220 minute Epson salt baths in the last two days. She did have blood in her stool, which is what prompted us to look. I’ve been putting some Cortizone on it, it does not seem to be helping.

It looks like a prolapse that has become a bit necrotic. Has she been able to poop? Sometimes they become prolapsed from straining to lay an egg, so if she cannot poop, I would be concerned about that. I would go ahead and give her a dose of human calcium citrate with vitamin d 1 tablet orally or a Tums. That will increase muscle contraction if there is an egg. Repeat the soak to her vent area to keep her clean and rub a little of the dark skin to debride it. Keep it covered all times with either an oil (mineral, castor, veg, vaseline, etc) or honey which can reduce the swelling and heal. Keep her separated so she doesn’t get pecked. That might have already happened. Here is a good article to read:
