These 9 chicks hatched 3 days ago and I think I'm seeing some differences between the pullets and cockerels on one cross. The rooster is a purebred Delaware from SandHill Preservation Center. The hens are either white Chantecler, Range Sussex (Dorking and Speckled Sussex cross) and chocolate laced orpington. The Orpington is the 1 dark chick. The Chantecler mixes (3) are mostly white and the wing feathers are coming in slower than the Range Sussex. The one mix that I think I can see a difference between the pullets and cockerels is the Range Sussex (5). Some chicks have a faded chipmunk pattern and some are mostly whiteish with a little orange and some black on the wing feathers.

Anyone have any idea/experience if the Range Sussex mix chipmunk chicks are the pullets?

Try taking pictures without the red light. I's a bit hard to distinguish colors with it on.
