Hi everyone!
Due to unfortunate circumstances my last clutch of eggs that I hatched only had 1 chick survive. She has been in the house with us in her brooder. Of course at the time Tractor Supply didn’t have any chicks for me to put with her so I collected some more eggs over the next week and started them so that she could hopefully have some chicken buddies.
Just had 6 hatch out yesterday. I was wondering if it would be okay to put the 6 of them in with the approximately 3-4 week old single chick?
I have a brooder plate and I’ve lowered it to where the day old chicks are the only ones able to get under at the moment. Has anyone had this work out? So far she hasn’t bothered them. She’s pecked a toe a couple of times but beyond that hasn’t really seemed offended that they are there.
