With the brand of incubator I'm using, I have to remove the eggs so I can replace the turner plate with a hatching mat. Usually with two or three days left on the timer.Since they're already out, I candle them then.I carry them to the bathroom (no window) in a small plastic cup, and light them up with a Streamlight Microstream flashlight. Seems to work really well.
