quail in Illinois

Please help a confused sole. I would like to try some coturnix in my back yard. Do I need a license for Chicago? Anyone wants to sell me some mature birds and a battery? Willing to pay more if everything is ready set up. Is it corrects that I must make 20 posts before I can list in the wanted section? Lots of questions, sorry

You do not need a license to keep Coturnix quail anywhere in the US. However you will need to check with your city as to whether you can keep poultry. Quail are not loud, at least not any louder than the neighbors barking dog, the planes, trains and automobiles!

And yes, I do believe you need to post 20 time or 25 times before you can use the want ad section. If you want to make some posts, go to the intro section and welcome some new folks. You will be up to 25 in no time!
