Quail SOS

Hello,
This is my first time hatching out a lot of quail. I had one that fell into its water.

The dish the water is in is a very low dish so they don’t drown.

But one fell into it and got wet. It was placed in an incubator to warm up again and it seemed to be doing fine until I saw its little legs splayed and it can’t get up and its eyes are closed.

If you have paper towels, newspaper, or other slick materials in your brooder and incubator, this can cause leg injuries. Grippy shelf liner is a good choice to help them as they learn how to walk.
