Good evening,
I am concerned something might be spreading among my quails and I don't know what it could be as it doesn't quite match the description of any illness I've read about.
One of my Japanese females, around 3 years old, started to display tremors a year ago, just her body, never the head, and it wasn't continuous either, just from time to time. Since she could still walk and continue a normal life I assumed it was age... but a couple of weeks ago, after a whole year since the tremors began, she got clumsy, her eyes became "dull" and she started to walk less and less every day, till she stopped being able to even sit and eventually died.
As I said I assumed it was age, as I thought an illness or parasite would have killed her much quicker, but yesterday I noticed another quail is displaying tremors from time to time, and her eyes don't have the round, healthy look of the rest either.
What do you think it could be? Have you seen anything similar?
Thank you in advance
