Question about cornish x's....

We have been wanting to raise our own meat birds for a while now, and I have read that you shouldn't raise cornish x about 5000 feet. I live in Colorado Springs at about 6500 feet or so. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!

I would be really interested in the answer to this, too. We have some property above 5000 feet in Nevada that we are planning on moving to before long. The only reference I have found about this, other than McMurray's suggestion that you not try it, is that it is very important to limit the feed to 12 on 12 off. I will be watching this thread.
