Question about feeding quail

I bought some of those elbows off Etsy for my Jumbo Coturnix when they get bigger.
The idea is you use a plastic container and put these in the side so when the quail shakes his head after he gets a mouthful, it does not waste as much food.

My question is; I ordered 1-1/2", but the actual size the opening is for the quail's head is 1-1/4".
Is that large enough?

I believe that will be plenty large enough.

Not having seen a quail in person before, that 1-1/4" hole looks pretty small. Especially when they have to get their head through the elbow.

I'll keep 'em.
