What are the factors that affect or determine how thick the vasculatures in embryos will be? I've observed that some eggs have thicker vessels and some eggs have really thin ones. I've been told that those with thicker vessels are good chicks and that it indicates good overall health of the egg and the embryo. Is it possible to control the incubating environment so that the vessels can become larger for the ones that don't seem to be thriving that much?

Hi!

No, you can't change from incubating at 99.5% temperature. A half degree either way would make no difference, and much more than that would start affecting the time/day they hatch and could start causing some to experience issues.

Some dry hatch but I've never heard that had anything to do with their blood vessels.

I think some change too over several days of incubation as I've seen a slight difference in my silkie eggs, but it made no difference in the end when they hatched.

I just do it the traditional way of 40-45% humidity until lockdown, then 65-70%.
