Quick Question On Chick Shoes

I'm in the process of putting shoes on my chicks feet. Band aid on the bottom, sticky side up. I'm aligning the toes and then putting some tape on the top of the foot. I just aligned one foot and did not put the small back toe in the shoe, is this a concern? The shoe only has the three front toes and the back toe is hanging out the back of the shoe.

I've tried looking at photos of other people chicks shoes, but its hard to tell.

You want the rear toe supported so it should be taped to cardboard shoe. The little shoe needs to look like how the foot should be shaped. I found the cardboard that cereal comes in works well to make the shoe cutout with.
