Really a girl?!!

I got two "female" Black Copper Maran chicks and in first month thought for sure I had a little boy. I am nearing the end of time I can request a refund for a boy and now I'm pretty sure she's a she Please tell me what you think. This is my first time with BCMs do some just developed more comb?

She's just a faster developing pullet. She's pretty.

Both definitely pullets! That’s funny how differently they developed, I would’ve been worried about one being a cockerel as well.

Great photos. I was able to zoom in pretty well and I don't see any male specific feathering. I think this is a pullet that is close to laying.

Look like hens to me! I have some July of this year hatched BCMs from Feather Lover Farms and have hens that look the same, my roosters are much brighter in color & have definite saddle feathers

I can see why you would think boy! I don't see any evidence of pointy saddle feathers, and if this were a male you really should at 19 weeks. You should also be hearing crowing from a 19 week old cockerel.

At their age you've definitely got both girls! #1 was just faster developing.
